How it all began

Danielle’s rule for first dates was simple: keep it moving. A walk along the Embarcadero offered an easy exit if the spark wasn’t there, but with Matthew, she never wanted to stop. What started at the Ferry Building turned into a trek up to Coit Tower (where Matthew focused on keeping his cool and his breath) and down into North Beach for lunch. By the time they circled back for a final glass of wine, they knew they had something special. Though the 2020 lockdown forced their next few dates onto video calls, the hours of conversation only proved the connection was real. They eventually "merged bubbles," and they’ve been adventuring with their dog, Sandy, ever since.
It’s been a long walk together, and we hope the journey goes on forever.
